Jagmeet Singh Dhaliwal (born c. January 2,1979) an Ontario MPP elected to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario in the 2011 provincial election.[1] He represents the electoral district of Bramalea—Gore—Malton for the Ontario New Democratic Party.
He previously ran in the federal riding of Bramalea—Gore—Malton in the 2011 federal election and lost by 539 votes to Conservative Bal Gosal.
He attended high school at the Detroit Country Day School, in Beverly Hills, Michigan, graduating in 1997. He obtained his B.Sc. from the University of Western Ontario in 2001 and his LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University in 2005. He was later called to the Bar of the Law Society of Upper Canada in 2006.[2] He speaks English, French and Punjabi.
